Meet in Hayfield at 10am for Kevan Underhill to lead us on a fantastic loop going over towards MamTor via Mount Famine, The Roych and Rushup edge, dropping into Edale on a very hairy descent then back over Jacobs ladder towards Kinder reservoir and the option of short or long finishes depending on the weather and peoples inclinations.
The meeting point is the car park in the middle of Hayfield just off the main road (by the tourist information centre).
Anyone wanting / sharing a lift give me a call or post a comment here.

Cant make the ride on Saturday, book in for a party boo! going to do the cross race at St Helen as punishment for slacking
forgeot to leave my name on the last comment!
Bet you're just doing extra training for the club cyclo cross
Despite the terrible forecast we had a great ride and hardly any rain. Kevan & Eleanor led us over some challenging rocky tracks to a well earned brunch in Edale's smart cafe. New recruit Andy was well up for whatever the terrain threw at him! A baptism of fire in fact.
We all psyched ourselves up for the ascent of the "just rideable" Jacob's Ladder. Kev had convinced us that we were going to give this a good try. The best any of us managed was about 1-2mtrs before coming to a halt. To do this you need to be a trick cyclist/very fit and fresh - so that ruled all of us out! The comedy greetings from the walkers as we pushed up where wearing a bit thin by the top.
Views from the summit all the way over the Cheshire plane to the Clwyds then a fast grassy descent to Kinder Resevoir before a truly "just rideable" climb of a cobbled track out of the valley then the final loop back to hot tea and cool lager in Hayfield.
Only my second ever off-road ride in the Peaks proper and I'll definatly be back for more. So those of you who missed out; watch this space (and not the weatherman!).
