Delamere 28 May

Now that Andy "big air" B is back on two wheels I though we should have a ride around the Delamere trails. Conditions are perfect with the recent rain to dampen down the dust. Hope you ARE fully recovered now Andy and can join us at 10am Station cafe as usual. All abilities welcome.

Hope I'll be out for the first hour at least, before I have to head off to take part in a sponsored bike thing. A group of lads I know are riding the equivalent distance of LE JoG up and down the Whitegate Way all weekend, and I'm doing a lap for them. Point and laugh at me wearing a pink T-shirt any time from 12.30! (and put some money in a fundraising bucket)

Good blast around - 3 and a half men. Me, Andy B, Kev C and Matt - half man / half wippet!

Hope the charity ride went well Matt. Hope you did several laps along the singletrack.

I only rode the singletrack on the way home, I was warned not to do anything daft that could risk me not finishing my lap :-)

You didn't win any prizes in the raffle, but thanks for donating anyway. I however won 2 ticket's to Beaver's Christmas concert. (FIX!!)

Oh look, just spotted this on the Singletrack forum.

'Spent 2 hours today clearing back the brambles & nettles on the old DH track on Old Pale.
Now the trees have grown it's become a great twisty singletrack with a few small jumps and berms.
Needs people to ride it though to keep it clear.
It's well worth the climb!'

Should make a decent alternative to the zig-zags.
