Meet at the Station Cafe for 10am start as usual. A couple of hours or so on the plentiful singletrack trails around the forest before lunch back at the cafe.
Just 4 out on this fantastic autumn morning. Chris turned back with a jumping chain and Derek had to head home early for work. That left Andy to show me the way down Tirley Garth and the old downhill course from Old Pale. Very muddy and slippery in places which added to the fun. Sun 11 Mar Grizedale Duathlon.http://www.highterrainevents.co.uk/2.html 6.5km Run, 24km cycle & 6.5km run all off road and taking in much of the North Face trail in Grizedale Forest.
To help celebrate the club's 50th anniversary I thought of a good 50 mile off road ride for all abilities - the Mary Townley Loop. Let me know if you fancy it and we'll see if we can arrange a suitable date in the spring/summer.
